Cultivating the Buy-in
Oh how we can sometimes get so wrapped up in our lives and what we’re shooting to accomplish that the things and people who are most important get pushed aside. I remember the saying a happy wife is a happy life. Well, I’m here to say it’s not so one-sided and encompasses both sides of a relationship. It also isn’t time-dependent. I want to share with you ways that even when we have a small amount of time we can create lasting and impactful moments with our spouse
In today’s episode, I go in-depth about how you can benefit from these simple but powerful Secrets to Having a Big Impact With Your Spouse When There’s Little Time.
Sharing the process - Learning and sharing Wisdom
I remember as a young lady, sitting around at one of the many family gatherings we had as I was growing up. You know those family gatherings that usually end up with all the women together in one room, talking about life, other people, and each other.
Well, this particular time they were talking about keeping a good man and how we should treat the important men in our lives. And believe it or not one particular phrase really stuck with me that night.
One of my aunts was talking about the state of another relative’s relationship and she said, “If she doesn’t take care of that good man she has, someone else is there always waiting to step in.” That really stuck with me.
Letting them shine
It made me think, about just how often we don’t appreciate the jewel right there in front of us until it’s snatched up by someone else. And right then and there I thought, I need to cherish the people in my life. Practice appreciation and gratitude for the blessing I did have.
I felt this was important to talk about in this episode because sometimes we get so busy, that we tend to push those we truly love to the backburning always believing they will understand. But we have to be careful with that train of thought because it can easily lead to a derailment.
