Episode 21: We’re starting to phase into our post-COVID life, going back to our jobs, finding new jobs or careers, and for some of us, a whole new change of venue. However, we find ourselves wrangling with the adjustment. Uncertainty seems to be a steady part of this new transition. This week’s episode shares ways we can move past those feelings of paralysis that uncertainty can create, and give us concrete ways to successfully advance into our next season.
Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:
What happens when we let uncertainty rule us.
False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is what drives our uncertainty. But allowing that uncertainty to regulate our actions is turning a preconceived reality into a reality. At least in our minds.
We must ask ourselves if it is real or just an old played-out reel of our imagination playing an outdated trailer.
We find ourselves reliving and revisiting the past and worrying and stressing over the future when in reality there is nothing we can do about either. We can’t change the past and we can’t predict the future
Who's Responsible and How can we prepare for uncertain times in our lives.
I felt this was especially important to talk about in this episode because moving back into the mainstream, we are still struggling with fears, misrepresented facts, and mistrust, and so, some of the concerns are absolutely 100% real, but what we are allowing it them to do to us is not.
What’s yours’s is yours, what’s mine is mine. We can only be responsible for the things that are within our control. How they affect us, and how we choose to react or act is our responsibility of choice. If the outcome is not our responsibility there are specific actions we must take to release that misguided responsibility.
